Pharmacokinetics

Pre-Clinical PK

Pharmacokinetic studies are performed to examine the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion of a drug. They are used primarily to determine how quickly drugs are absorbed into the blood and then cleared from the blood, when administered via different routes. This information is useful in formulation of novel compounds and in determining appropriate dosing schedules.

Biomodels offers pre-clinical non-GLP in vivo testing of novel therapeutic compounds dosed via

Oral gavage
Sub-cutaneous injection
Intra-venous injection
Intra-peritoneal injection
Nasal/pulmonary instillation
Topical application
Rectal administration
